Responsibilities
All of CSUN's fully online degree and certificate programs are developed and supported by The Tseng College which is an agile and innovative capacity of CSUN focused on graduate, international, and midcareer education.

The Tseng College houses CSUN's distance learning (DL) unit. DL works with all of CSUN's academic colleges and departments to develop and offer programs with a regional, national and global reach. The responsibility of the CSUN DL Director includes the development/production and oversight of all fully online programs at the university, regardless of the discipline or funding source. The DL Director will be responsible for the supervision and ongoing professional development of the DL staff (currently 8 full-time professional staff plus temporary hires and student assistants ) as well as ensuring that the creation and production of CSUN fully online program is done with excellence and distinction and that the support of ongoing online program is of the highest quality. CSUN currently offer 10 fully online degree programs with 14 more degree programs in the development and production cue for the next two to three years. This is a senior management position for a high energy, well-credentialed leader in the field who wished to work at a university that seeks both excellence and distinction on online teaching and learning. Qualifications
Master's degree in academic technologies, instructional design, teaching and learning theory, or curriculum development or a job-related field. Equivalent to five years of progressively responsible professional/administrative experience leading collaborative teams in the design, development, implementation, and support of technical projects, hybrid and fully online programs, and technologies for learning management, collaboration, communication, productivity, and business management and support functions; with 2 of the five years in a supervisory/managerial role. Experience as a faculty member at a regionally accredited college or university is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of current context of practice in distance learning/online learning nationally and internationally. Technical knowledge, to craft online programs using a wide range of technical tools and applications. Specialized ability to develop and teach online courses, lead training initiatives, and lead teams to create highly effective online degree programs. Ability to use, administer, support, and lead teams to design for systems such as Moodle and Elluminate are preferred. Demonstrated organizational and planning skills, exhibiting the ability to work with accuracy and reliability, manage multiple projects. and anticipate and resolve potential problems. Project management skills, with the ability to work in teams, build and maintain strong working relationships within and across organizational units, exercise creative problem solving skills and be well versed in conflict resolution, cultivate a working network of contacts, and to coordinate effectively with others working collaboratively to complete a project or manage a program. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project and unit budgets; strong English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write effective reports, presentations, design specifications, and technical documentation, as well as technical support related explanations and responses for a variety of audiences.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
The university offers an excellent benefits package.
Anticipated hiring range: $85,000 - $98,000 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Requirements - Degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of experience and education; organized; detail-oriented; computer literate; knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles; strong editorial, business writing and communication skills; familiarity with grant/contracts, distance learning, managing multiple changing priorities; 508 remediation a plus.
