Dr. DEBORAH HARRISON | BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Harrison has been in education since 1972. She has been a K-12 teacher, a school administrator and a distance learning industry executive. She earned a Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Austin as well as supervision, mid-management and superintendent certifications. She is currently serving as the Director of the Center for Distance Learning Research and provides the guiding vision and strategic leadership for CDLR efforts and activities. Dr. Harrison is a recognized leader in the field of distance learning, having served as founding Board Chair and Past-President of the Texas Distance Learning Association and as the 2005 President of the United States Distance Learning Association.
