USDLA Announces 2002 Call
for Prestigious Distance Learning Awards
Needham, MA November
9, 2001 - The United States
Distance Learning Association today announced its annual Call
For Nomination submissions for the USDLA 2002 Distance Learning
Awards. The prestigious Awards will be presented at the USDLA
Awards Ceremony during the e-Learning Conference and Expo
in April 2002 at the Washington Convention Center in
Washington, D. C. Deadline for Nominations is Friday, January
25, 2002.
The awards are
given to honor outstanding achievements by individuals and
organizations in the field of distance learning. Fifteen awards
are given in the five major areas of distance education: K
through 12 Education; Higher Education; Corporate/Business;
Government, and Health
Care/Telemedicine. The three primary award categories are:

Excellence in
Distance Teaching Awards - given to recognize outstanding
individuals in each |
| |
of the five areas who have
creatively utilized distance education technology to inspire
learning. |

Excellence in Distance
Learning Programming Awards - given to recognize organizations
|
| |
in each of the
five areas, which have designed and delivered outstanding
and comprehensive |
| |
distance learning program
services. |
| |

| |
Most Outstanding Achievement
by an Individual Awards - given to recognize individuals
in each |
| |
of the five areas who demonstrate
extraordinary achievements in scholarly research and writing, |
| |
leadership activities,
service, and/or contribution to a better understanding
of distance learning. |

Learning Association. USDLA is a non-profit organization,
