USDLA ANNOUNCES 2003 CALL
FOR PRESTIGIOUS
DISTANCE LEARNING AWARDS

Boston, MA The United
States Distance Learning Association today announced its Annual
Call for Nominations for the 2003 Distance Learning Awards.
The awards recognize the best of the distance learning industrys
Teachers, Programs and Individual Achievements. According
to Dr. John G. Flores, Executive Director of USDLA, The
USDLA Awards program has become the Distance Learning Industrys
premier event recognizing the best of the best. USDLA
is the active voice in the distance learning field and seeks
to commend those who actively participate and contribute to
its continuing development.
The awards are given to honor
these outstanding achievements in five major areas of distance
education and training including: Pre-K through Grade 12 Education;
Higher Education; Corporate / Business; Government and Health
Care / Telemedicine.
The three primary award categories are

Excellence in Distance
Teaching Awards presented to outstanding individuals who
have creatively utilized distance education technology
to inspire learning. |
|
|
Excellence in Distance
Learning Programming presented to outstanding organizations,
which have designed and delivered outstanding and comprehensive
distance learning program services. |
|
|
Outstanding Distance Learning
Achievement presented to outstanding individuals who demonstrate
extraordinary achievements in scholarly research and writing,
leadership, service and contributions to a better understanding
of distance learning. |
The awards will be presented
at the USDLA Awards Ceremony on April 30th during the Learning
and Training Week 2003 Conference and Expo hosted by Advanstar
Communications at the Washington Convention Center, Washington,
D. C. from April 28-May 1, 2003.
