USDLA
announces its annual Call for Nomination submissions for the
2004 Distance Learning Awards, which include the Excellence
in Distance Teaching, Excellence in Distance Learning Programming
and the Most Outstanding Achievement by an Individual Awards.
The awards are given to honor outstanding achievements by
individuals and organizations in the field of distance learning.
Fifteen awards are given in
five major areas of distance education: Pre-K-12 Education;
Higher Education; Corporate; Government and Telehealth. The
Excellence in Distance Teaching Awards recognize outstanding
individuals who have creatively utilized distance education
technology to inspire learning. The Excellence in Distance
learning Programming Awards recognize organizations, which
have designed and delivered outstanding and comprehensive
distance learning program services. The Most Outstanding Achievement
by an Individual Awards is presented to individuals who demonstrate
extraordinary achievements in scholarly research and writing,
leadership activities, service, and /or contributions to a
better understanding of distance learning.

Deadline for Nominations is Monday, May
10, 2004.
This year's 2004 USDLA Distance
Learning Awards will be presented on Tuesday, October 12,
at the 2004 Fall Training and Online Learning Conference,
held at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, California.
