Part Time Online Instructors

KIT eLearning and The University of Liverpool in the UK are recruiting new part-time instructors to teach in online Master of Science in Information Technology and  Master of Business Administration programs. KIT eLearning teaches IT and business professionals from around the world, in small collaborative classrooms led by a trained instructor. Teaching is completely online and asynchronous, allowing faculty and students the flexibility to integrate the teaching and studying into a busy schedule.

We are now recruiting candidates for an upcoming online instructors’ training course that will start on July 17 2002.

The successful candidate must:

  • Be experienced at teaching in an academic environment;
  • Hold an IT or Computer Science PhD (preferred) or Master degree (preferably studying towards a PhD degree) to teach in the IT (MSC) degree program;
  • Hold a Masters degree or Doctorate (preferred) in a business-related field to teach in the MBA degree program;
  • Be an effective communicator in written English;

 

Specific requirements (for the MSC program only):

Be able to teach an academic course in at least one of the following areas:

  • Object oriented programming using C++ and/or Java
  • Internet programming
  • Software Engineering
  • Computer Communications and Networks
  • Databases
  • Computer Security
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • e-Commerce

 

Training details:

  • You must be able to participate in a paid six-week on-line facilitator-training program;
  • You will attend the course from your own computer;
  • Previous online teaching experience is not required;
