Distance Learning Certificate Program
Registration has begun for the Distance Education Certificate Program, sponsored by The State University of West Georgia. This program, entering its eighth session, is for professionals, teachers and trainers preparing for leadership roles in distance learning.
The six-month program is offered completely on-line and incorporates conceptual knowledge into practical learning experience. Areas explored will include foundations of distance education, course planning, design and implementation, evaluation, faculty and student support, administrative and management issues, and technologies.
Participants should expect to spend about 2-6 hours per week participating in on-line bulletin boards, reading materials, and completing exercises. The tuition for the course is $695, and includes course materials, access, and a certificate. The program will begin January 7, 2002.
