Online Learning Adjunct Professors

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) Center for Multidisciplinary Studies seeks an enthusiastic and team-oriented adjunct faculty member to join the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies to develop and teach its Math and Statistics courses.  The courses include business math, technical math, business statistics I and II.  These courses are designed for students not majoring in the mathematics. Anticipated starting date November 2001.

RIT also seeks an additional enthusiastic and team-oriented adjunct faculty member to join the Center for Multidisciplinary Studies to develop and teach its Contemporary Science courses.  The courses include the study of history, biology, chemistry, geology, geography, and all the physical properties.  These courses are designed for students not majoring in the sciences. Anticipated starting date November 2001. The successful candidates will be proficient with on-line course development software and multi-media software related to course development and delivery.  Experience in distance education is preferred. RIT uses First Class or Prometheus.  Requirements include two years teaching experience, preferably at college or university level, two years professional experience in course development using emerging technologies (video, audio, WWW and other Internet applications) in higher education, and a master's degree in the field. Individual must have or develop an understanding of, and agreement with Rochester Institute of Technology's values.

Qualifications: Master's degree and 4 years of experience in curriculum design, digital media, and project management required. Experience teaching in an on-line environment strongly desired. Knowledge of First Class or Prometheus is desired. Excellent communications skills, analytic and planning abilities a must.
