Director of Distance Education
Southern New Hampshire University
Southern New Hampshire University (Manchester, NH) seeks an individual with a proven record of success in higher education for the position of Director of the Distance Education Center.
The Director provides leadership and administration to the center and of the newly created Institute for Online Learning. The diverse duties include oversight of the center's daily operations, collaborating with the schools within the university to promote assessment and improvement of program delivery, determining new markets, and collaborating with faculty to bring new programs online.
The successful candidate will demonstrate effective organizational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills coupled with experience managing online education, marketing and developing programs. An ability to establish effective relationships within the university, with businesses and with the military is vital to this position.
Requirements include: a master's degree in a relevant discipline, knowledge of current distance education practices and educational technologies and 3 to 5 years experience in the management and administration of a unit working directly with faculty.

This is a 12-month administrative position, reporting to the Executive Director of Continuing and Distance Education.
