Practices is a collection of new work
by leading experts and practitioners in Internet-based
distance learning. The content will focus on
strategies and methodologies the authors have
developed in their own teaching and learning
environments. Topics will include learning management
systems, instructional design and development,
faculty/staff training, policies and procedures
for developing and maintaining distance learning-based
websites, course/program design considerations,
teaching and learning strategies, technology
tools and services, student and course assessment
and evaluation, and institutional and corporate
policies related to Internet-based distance
learning. Editors of the new publication are
