Graduate Leadership Studies at the Fischler Graduate School of Education and Human Services combines the university's two flagship field-based doctoral programs in education with its master's and educational specialist programs in leadership and a dynamic new program in organizational leadership. The degree programs within Human Development and Family Services range from master’s programs in speech-language pathology, Jewish education, substance abuse counseling, child and youth care administration, early childhood education administration, and family support practice to doctoral programs in Child and Youth Studies (Ed.D.) and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP.D.). The program formats enable practicing professionals to complete their degree while continuing their careers.

The Fischler Graduate School’s innovative master’s and doctoral programs in Instructional Technology and Distance Education develop leaders who can plan, organize, manage, and teach effectively using instructional technology in the classroom, on the job, and online through a variety of instructional delivery systems. The programs are designed for professional educators and trainers who work with learners from pre-kindergarten through the university level and with adults in all areas of business and industry.

At the same time, FGSEHS respects the need of educators to continue learning while working in their classrooms or offices--wherever they are. GTEP’s array of more than 40 specializations in graduate teacher education provides opportunities for professionals to earn master’s and educational specialist degrees. The curriculum also enables teachers to add certification areas and endorsements, renew current certification areas, and increase their levels of expertise within their fields, and allows individuals with bachelor’s degrees in other fields to enter teaching.
