Ken Conn | Biography
Ken Conn holds a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Pittsburgh.  Starting at Data Projections, Inc. in May of 2006, he has been fortunate to have the opportunity to continue to work with and help K-12 institutions meet their educational technology needs.  As a Past President of the Texas Distance Learning Association (TxDLA), Ken actively promotes the development and application of all forms of distance learning.

Previously Mr. Conn was employed by the Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (LCISD) in Rosenberg, Texas for eight years achieving the honor of Teacher of the Year at Navarro Middle School during the 2002-2003 school year.  Beginning in 2003, Ken moved from being a classroom teacher to serve as a Technology Support Specialist at Navarro Middle School while also serving as the Distance Learning Coordinator for the district of almost 20,000 students.  In his final year in LCISD, Ken took a district level Instructional Technologist position while continuing to serve as the district’s Distance Learning Coordinator which primarily focused on expanding their videoconferencing program.

Ken has presented at the Texas Computer Education Association Conference several times since 2005.  He has been an active member of the TxDLA since 2003 and has held numerous leadership positions with the association.  After his participation in the 2007 United States Distance Learning Association Conference he took further interest by serving on their Membership and 2008-2010 Conference Planning Committees.  Ken is excited about the opportunity to further participate by serving on the USDLA Board of Directors as the USDLA Senior Vice President for State Chapters.  Ken Conn’s experience and strong commitment to educational technology attempts to promote a collaborative atmosphere between all groups.
